HISTORY:

Founded in 2006, 3DTotal is a company specialized in providing services to 3D remote scanning  and measurement of high accuracy.

The adoption of methodologies and techniques for innovative work, combined with the maintenance of a stable human and technical staff highly specialized in this area has enabled us to gain a leadership position in the market over the years, made concrete in particular projects of technical complexity.
   
2009 was made ​​a remarkable investment in the renewal of computer structure allowed us to give a response to growing demand for the realization of multimedia projects.
   
2010 was purchased new laser scanning equipment, model IMAGER 5006i.

2011 was marked by the beginning of our internationalization strategy, resulting in the establishment of partnerships with local businesses.

The imaging 3D laser measurement systems are applicable in the fields of digital planning of factories, industrial plants, architecture, heritage building, Infrastructure, protection of historic monuments, landscape, virtual reality, forensic, colourmapping and a lot more.

Based on the principle of transmission of laser light. The environment is illuminated point by point and the light reflected from the object is detected. With the help of the so-called phase-difference method the following values can be determined, independent of prevailing light conditions:

     *  Range values (distance to the object)
     *  Reflectance values (reflectivity of the object) 

Range and reflectance values are measured by the
same receiver at the same time so that they directly correspond to one single data point in space (pixel by pixel correspondence).

It can also achieve horizontal and vertical angle measurements with which XYZ coordinates can be allocated to the individual measured point.
All data gained in this way can be directly allocated to one specific point so that the results can be represented in a range image (in grey levels or colour-coded), a reflectance image or combined in a so-called 3D point cloud.
